5th Care Package

I sent my 5th care package to Tessa. I ordered a beautiful Traditional Chinese blouse/pants set that matches the doll outfit that I sent in the 4th care package. After I ordered the package, Ann sent those wonderful, incredible photos of Tessa that I adore. I am so in love with our girl!!! It is soooo hard to work or to think of anything else but bringing her home!!

Group Wuzhou SWI Photos

Here is a group photo from Wuzhou SWI circa 2005 provided by a family. Jingxin lived here and participated in the Little Sisters Program from 2005-2007. I think that is her on the front right row. (?) After the adoption, we will get all of her photos from Half The Sky Programs.

PEACE OUT!

Tessa Kai

Ok, so now I'm absorbed with wondering how much our, my life is about to change! I can't wait!!

4th Care Package

Ok, here is my 4th Care Package for Tessa. This time I included a doll.

Thank you for all the Nice wishes

Thank you Everyone for all your kind words, you good wishes and comments. I feel that now I can finally exhale!! We are really on our way now. I got the paperwork completed and submitted on April 3rd. If I had to do this over again, I would've had the paperwork completed BEFORE we got the LOA. Hopefully, it is just 2 weeks when our US Immigration form (I800) is approved and then we get our Travel Approval a couple weeks after that.

Bedroom!!

Well, I am almost done with Tessa's bedroom. I changed the bedcover three times. I LOVE this one and I hope Tessa loves this one too. The wall can always be repainted in she doesn't like pink.
What do you think?

Third Care Package!!

Ok, yes, I'm sending another one...I really can't control my maternal urge to nurture!!... This is my way of starting my connection, my attachment, my bond to my new daughter!! I'm not only sending care packages, but shopping at home too. I can't post all of them here, because there is no room...:o). But I will surely need to return some of them. I asked Ann for more pictures, but I'm guessing it is still too soon, because I didn't get any. She had previously asked that I wait a couple of months, because she didn't want to bother the staff too much. In the mean time, I am reading all kinds of posts and blogs from the many yahoo groups I've joined and the famous "Rumor Queen, China Adopt Talk."

Second Care Package

Ok, I can't help it. It has been only two weeks since the last package and I just have to send another one. This time, I made up a little photo album with some pictures of Me, Joey and us together. Sent her a beautiful dress and some toys for the other kids in the orphanage. I'm sending cameras and hopeful that many pictures will be taken. I wish I could've seen her face upon her receiving our photo album. And wishing I could get more photos!!

New Pictures!

Ann from RedthreadChina contacted the BeiHai SWI and got pictures!!

First Care Package!!

Our Dossier was finally completed and sent to China. Our Log In Date is January 14, 2009.
Now we wait, and wait and wait for our Letter of Approval, the "official approval."

While we wait, I am sending care packages! Via Ann with RedThreadChina.com

I could hardly stand up!
She's GORGEOUS!!

The Referral Report:

"She has normal mental development. On admission she had dark eyes and strong holding hands; she visually followed moving things and her hands were in fist. When she was 2 months old she kicked blanket and she could visually focus on toys hung above; she liked to put her hands in mouth. At 3 months she could make "gugu" sounds; at 4 months old she could visually focus at people talking to her and smile. At 5 months of age she could hold and look at the toy given to her and she sometimes lick the toy: she liked to be held by nannies and she would smile happily. At 9 months she could imitate clappling hands and waving goodbye; she concentrated on things she was interested in. At 11 months she like to be taken outdoors by nannies and play; she was not afraid of strangers. She points to body parts as required by nannies. In May 2005 she entered the "Little Sisters" studying class in the Wuzhou Social Welfare Institute in August 2007. She is very active with careful training of teachers and she is a quick learner. She had a happy collective life in the "Little Sisters" class. Led by teachers she has been to the zoo and field for many times. She got to know tiger that she read in text book and she watched carefully the ants move. She recognized green grass and red flower and she drew pictures. She is good at performing and she took part in all activities. She can recite poems and sing and dance. She concentrated in class and she is good at accepting knowledge. She can cut paper and play puzzles with alternative hand.

She is kind and ready to help others. When other children were unhappy, she always gives out her toys or snacks. She is chubby and cute."
